James Update

At nineteen months, James is keeping us on our toes. He is still in the 99th percentile for weight, but has dropped to the 88th percentile for height.

James has been making more efforts to mimic new words, so his vocabulary has increased a lot lately. He hasn't started putting words together yet, but some of his new favorites are: chair, door, up, down, sun, walk, bye-bye, doller (stroller), bock-a-bye (rock-a-bye), water, yucky, ah-bee (owie), light, buck (truck), and bus. The highlight of his day is dropping Rachel off at the bus stop. He will shout "Bussssth! Bussssth!" a million times (Yes, he says it with a cute little lisp.)

James is feeding himself with a spoon pretty well now and wants whatever we are eating. His favorite food is "o-ker" (yogurt) and he asks for it several times a day. He loves "Ray-Ray" (Rachel) and always wants her to be in the same room as him. They are best buddies... when they're not fighting over something silly.

James is just loving nursery and lets us leave him pretty easily, so we're all enjoying church more these days. At home, it's a different story. He is quite the momma's boy and often cries when I leave the room. He doesn't like to play independently or be alone for any small amount of time. We sure love him and feel so blessed to have such an adorable, happy, active little boy in our lives!

This is just so sweet...and don't worry, I really think that boys are just a lot more of "mama's boys" and are definitely not into entertaining themselves! (c: He is absolutely adorable!
